New Simon's cat is so much Knuckles and I by Hieraco2011-09-03 01:31:58
We've finally given up. Our Bengal is missing. by wwill 2011-09-03 09:40:18
Hobie, the big Bengal we've been keeping for the last couple of years for my step-son (he hated the new baby, sprayed the whole house, just about), went missing something over two weeks ago now. He has been gone before for a day or so, but doesn't ever go far. There are lots of good "cat places" within a couple of hundred metres of here, he always stays close.

Been all over town looking and calling, walking as far as I can most days when I could walk at all.

No sign. Not a single clue. Called all the vets and shelters, left word with animal control, everything I can think of.

We suspect someone scooped him up out of our yard or the near environs, since he was an extremely beautiful cat. (Look for pictures of Bengals, Google has lots, he was a brown one with spots, and looked a lot like an ocelot or a lynx.)

That happened once before and he got away, came back to us after eleven days. (The collar we hadn't ever seen before was a sort of a clue, that and the sudden aversion to getting into cars....)

It has been closer to 16 days, now without a peep.

We're pretty broken up over this, and I still don't know how I'm going to tell the step-son.
