Tried to begin my daily routine, turn on the laptop, and Jaws decides to be mute.
I verify it's not just an issue of the Mute buttons being activated, and it doesn't matter, because Jaws still refused to speak to me.
Had to ask the StepF4 for help *TWICE* before he'd agree to run a simple System Restore to a previous SR point.
That got Jaws to work, but promptly required *TWO HOURS* of updates to reapply.
Reboot, Jaws works like it's supposed to, and I launch Outlook.
Only to have to wait *45* minutes for it to grab all the emails it now considered "new", even though:
A. Gmail is set to *NOT* retain my email after being downloaded, and thus should NOT have been available TO be downloaded, and
B. 99% of it was spam.
Finally get to USE my system, and it decides that "Hey, you know all those Back Up's you were SUPPOSED to have run?"
(Remember, the system has been Restored, and thinks it's not *now* yet.)
"Yeah, well, you *ARE* running a *FULL* back up, *RIGHT NOW*, and there's nothing you can do about it."
Total time it took to complete? An Hour & A Half.
It just finished about ten minutes ago.
If anything *ELSE* goes wrong today, I am seriously considering going on a multi-state killing rampage.
Starting with Microsoft & Google.
