Yeah, his voice is rough. But so is Willie Nelson's, and I can listen to either of those two, pretty much any time. Good songs can make up for a lot of bad singing. Gotta admit, Johnny Cash's voice sounds like crap there, too, but it fits so well with the lyrics you just don't mind.
