Bu oil it sparingly, with the lightest oil you have, and put the sticky-foil seal thingy back over it if there is one, or something to keep dust off the oiled bearing if there isn't. I've used a small dab of silicone heat sink compound to cover the bearing end, and a small piece of random thin plastic (shopping bag, IIRC) stuck to it, to seal out dust. The oil attracts and holds dirt in, just like with firearms, so use it sparingly and seal it off as best you can.
