I washed CPU fan of Compaq Presario by dennismv 2011-04-02 14:32:59
Now it spins up upon turning computer on, but shuts off within 5 seconds and does not spin back up.

Compaq shuts off saying CPU Fan Fail.

I am puzzled.
I washed it because it was very dusty, and then it was air-dried a little but not completely
