It gives a Plant or Animal target "Sentient" level Intelligence, thus making it able to be played as a Character.
Is this the spell/template you meant, or a different one?
I could apply the Awakened Template to a Grimoire, but would have to figure out what Stats to give a *book*.
High INT/WIS/CHA, and abysmal STR/DEX/CON.
*MASSIVE* Skill Points per level, and maybe a Psionic attack in addition to the tentacles it could sprout for grabbing, locomotion, Grappling, & defenstrating it's victims before eating their brains...
I'd need help in compiling it all, probably, but I like the concept.
Of course, it makes DM's gibber in fits of "You are *NOT* playing the Necronomicron as a PC in one of *MY* campaigns!"
