Scanning a portion of a document (my winnings check from yesterday) just to see what the security features look like at some level of magnification. I'm scanning a 2.3" x 2.6" segment at 4800dpi. The uncompressed image is 412MB. The slow part? I'm pulling it over a wireless link.
