VM configurations are stored in XML files in /etc/libvirt/qemu and
in /etc/libvirt/qemu/autostart are softlinks pointing to the files
for machines that should be started at boot time.

The command to issue is of course "virsh autostart <machine>".
And to disable autostart it's "virsh autostart <machine> --disable".

Where the XML files reside is actually an implementation detail.
You're not supposed to edit them directly but use "virsh edit".
If you do edit them directly you will have to restart libvirtd
so it rereads the configurations. If you use virsh that is not
necessary.

In short: Use "virsh" and the "virtinst" tools like "virt-install".
