aka The Demonhunters. Able to requisition any Imperial asset, up to and including Space Marine chapters, in the commission of their duties.
Badass to a fault. They will burn entire worlds to prevent their fall to Chaos, if deemed necessary.
All are powerful psykers, and among their number are several who have actually been possessed by Greater Demons, and thrown them off by =sheer force of will=. Servants of chaos feel their coming, and flee - even Demons dread their presence.
And if THSRHTF, there are the Grey Knights. The 666th Chapter of the Space Marines, the Chamber Militant of the Ordo Malleus. Not only are they Space Marines, but each one is a psyker at least a match for any Inquisitor, and their leaders are some of the most powerful psykers in existence. The Grey Knights hold a unique honor among the chapters - in over ten thousand years of service, not a single one of their number has =ever= defected to Chaos. In all of Chaos' grip, very few demons exist who can face a Grandmaster of the Grey Knights and survive. |
