First off, it's only her side of the story. She may have mouthed off to the first officer causing him to escalate things. I have to wonder about the part regarding the $13,000. Normal people don't pay tuition in cash, especially when you're talking about that MUCH tuition. Most people don't like carrying around that much cash, and (speaking from personal experience) college financial depts don't like receiving those kind of amounts. Its too easy for cash to disappear.

When I was reading it, things seems to far out to believe and I began wondering if this was just some made up story until I got to the bottom of the article with other links to follow-up pieces.
