I just picked up a Sig 556 Classic from one of my IDPA club members for about 400.00 off normal used retail. He fired about 500 rounds through it and came across a great deal on a tricked out M4 and the Sig 556 sat in the safe since then. I need to get a better rear sight to replace the factory one and to co-witness the front blade and red dot but otherwise it is Vurrrray niiiice. My club is sponsoring our first 3-gun match on the 13th and I am entered and will use the Sig 556. Since it was our first three gun match we capped it at 50 people and it filled up in two days! We were honestly surprised at how fast it filled up!! It will be my first 3-gun match AND I will be a safety officer helping to run it so it should be interesting!!! Supposedly some people from 3 gun nation will be there as well as people from several surrounding states and sponsored 3 gun teams.
