No, really. This story sounds so out there, I have to agree with you - with that many different law enforcement organizations involved, this level of malfeasance is incredible.
With that many factors coming together to make an incredible story (large amounts of cash, a gun, incredible bungling, both before and after the event), I have to suspect 'enemy action'. You know, if something unusual happens once, it's happenstance. Twice is coincidence. Three times is enemy action.
I have to wonder if this is possibly a conspiracy to defraud the Town of Southampton and the Country of Suffolk of a huge settlement. That is actually easier to believe than the amount of bungling this story shows. |
