Debit Cards are also ATM Cards, but ATM Cards are not Debit Cards.

Debit Cards are essentially ATM Cards that have a Visa or Master Card logo on them and can also function in the same manner as a Credit Card. It's just that the money is immediately taken out of your checking account rather than being a debt you pay off later.
