Dear Spammer/Scammer. You fail! XD XD XD by shadowsystems 2011-02-16 16:01:37
They just sent me an empty email (no body text at all) with a "JPG" file attachment.
Only it's not a picture, it's an script file in disguise.

Let's see, a supposed file type I can't DO anything with (like, oh, SEE it?) to hide a file type my system has been instructed never to do anything with.
Not to use them, not to allow them to be run/executed, and if any ever DO try to run to pop up a screaming warning dialogue box to ask if I want to allow it.
(Thank you Spybot!)

So I opened it in Notepad just to see what it was supposed to do.
They had tried to create a Windows Scripting Host script that opened a port through the firewall, allowing free access to the victim computer.
Sounds dangerous, right?
Except they misspelled the word "firewall" - last time I checked, it wasn't spelled "f i e r w a l l".
BAH HAHAHAhahahahaha...

I deleted the entire email, but had to restrain my urge to write them back with mockery & scorn.
=-)p
