Command line DHCP help? by hadji 2011-02-16 08:36:42
Trying to test some command line stuff for DHCP. Trying to create a test scope right now. This is what's happening.

C:/> netsh 'works fine
netsh> dhcp 'works fine
netsh dhcp> server <ipaddress> 'works fine

'herein lies the problem
netsh dhcp server>add scope 10.10.10.0 255.255.0.0 TestScope

DHCP Server Add Scope failed.
Parameter(s) passed are either incomplete or invalid.

Why? As far as I can tell, the syntax and parameters I'm using match the documentation and examples I've been able to find, so I'm confused as to what I'm missing. Anyone able to help?

  Shouldn't your subnet mask be 255.255.255.0? (n/t) by the_diggity2011-02-16 08:47:00
Which does work, but doesn't solve the larger by hadji2011-02-16 08:51:59
