In that case it looks like ColdFusion wouldn't be able to create a new process on its own; I'll have to see how to do that in Java. Which of course means that I'll have to convert a lot of my ColdFusion objects to the underlying Java objects. Given the environment I'm working in, I'm wondering whether it's worth it.
