Get a refurbished MacBook, put virtualization software on it, then a copy of Windows purchased at a deep discount from the university. That way I can archive a fresh copy of the Windows VM and just unzip a copy every time she breaks it. Thoughts? (Why Mac OS X as the base? She's acquainted with the Mac OS and has an irrational fear GNU/Linux after a mishap with a LiveCD.)
