starts "the day" at midnight, a moment that gets unnoticed by the vast majority of humankind. Our idea that the day should start "in the morning" is OK, if the day is there to work. If the "day" is there to celebrate life, to worship, and the "work part" is just the punishment you deserve for having lost Paradise, I think it makes sense to start "the day" in the evening.
