...all that. I already quote Tolkien...it'd be another good one to add to my repertoire. ;) I typically refer to it as "seeing the author's fingerprints all over the story". When you hear the author's voice and not the narrative, you're seeing a smudge on the prose. Or "the purposed domination of the author. ;) Thanks for the quotation.
