Strange driver behavior? by Bonzo 2010-09-20 12:57:31
I just upgraded from Win XP to Win 7 (both 32bit) on my DVR computer.
Using THE SAME drivers and software, I get fewer options in Win 7 than I had in XP.

Specifically, the resolution(s) available.

The video card is this one:
http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.26223

It's based on Philips AAS7134 chipset, and I'm using the WDM drivers suggested at the site.
For viewing/capturing, I'm using YAWCAM.

In Win XP, I could capture up to 720x576 (or something).
In Win 7, I can only capture in 320x240.
(The 720 resolution is real, as more details are available in the picture. Not just a 320x240 capture interpolarized or stretched to 720x576)

Does Windows 7 "use" the drivers in a different way than XP?
Got any ideas?
Got any better drivers?

"THE SAME drivers"? not so much by Freakazoid2010-09-20 14:31:36
Incorrect. WDM allows identical drivers to be used by the_diggity2010-09-20 16:35:59
