Not everybody defines Evil in the same way. you're going to have to spend all your time developing various evil plots to appeal to the sense of Evil in your various constituencies. See, there's the people who think the military industrial complex is evil, others who think the Neo-Luddite over-populationists are Evil, and still others who think the gay-marrige types are evil.
Eventually you're going to have to come up with a vast Evil Bureaucracy in order to manage all of the Evil plots simultaneously - It's just too much trouble for even the most committed Evil genius.
At this point the world will be too busy ascribing all of the problems in the world to various evil plots, and you'll have lost the level of cohesiveness you really need for an efficient Evil Empire.
In other words, the world will look pretty much like it does now, but everything will be your fault. It rains at the picnic? Evil plot against me. Flood in Bhutan? Evil plot to control the weather. Extinction of the Pataginian Frigate Bird? Evil plot against wildlife.
Even with the henchmen, the nifty island lair, and the seductive femme fatales hanging around, you're still going to find yourself punching a clock every day and the novelty will last maybe a month. |
