Bandits have stolen the orphanage meat from Our Lady of Perpetual Indecision! 100,000 of it to be precise. You have to get it back for them.
No, you can't keep any of it.
The way to beat this is to maximize your meat drops. Use everything you have that maximizes it. Most important is to have your familiar be a Leprechaun. A 20 lb leprechaun gives you a 100% bonus, halving the required adventures. A 25lb gives 118%, 30lb = 135% and 35lb gives 150%.
25lbs = familiar plus equipment. You can get an extra 5lbs with pet buffing spray (gotten by dressing as a knob goblin elite and going to the laboratory.) Another 5, 10 or 15 lbs with skills depending on your class. See the wiki for more options on buffing pets.

If your leprechaun is leveled up to 20 and has equipment you should be able to reach over 300% of your normal rate.
Important footnote: If you have any Meat Vortexes from the Valley Beyond the Orc-Chasm use them here, you do get to keep that meat and these guys are loaded.
A trick (stolen from the wiki): It is possible to finish this sidequest as a Frat before killing enough monsters on the battlefield to access this area as a Frat. It requires the use of a Spooky Putty sheet or a 4-d camera. First, enter the zone in the War Hippy Uniform. Kill bandits, making sure to use your putty sheet or camera on one of the bandits. When you only need to kill one more bandit to finish the zone, switch to Frat Warrior Fatigues and use your putty monster or shaking camera to get a bandit to fight. If you collect enough meat during that fight, you will finish the sidequest as a Frat, and it will count for battlefield progress immediately.
