It now is off again, both sound and internet. And before enterprising asimov wannabe's say something, I type this from my main system, running XP. :P I am off for bed now, Ill check the Linux box tomorrow evening. One suggestion I was given, was to get another Live CD, run another distro, and see if the problems reoccur.
