For any of the commands used in the parent post, you can add "&> file.txt" to the end eg. "ifconfig &> ifconfig-output.txt" to capture the output of the command in a text file. Assuming Ubuntu has automatically mounted your Windows partition somewhere, you can then drag-and-drop this text file from your Linux home directory "/home/yourusername" to your Windows partition, and when you reboot into Windows the text file will be there.

That way you can copy-and-paste command output under Windows instead of having to write down and retype everything while trying to get your internet connection working under Linux...
