<censored> Linux Ubuntu .... by Klaranth 2010-05-30 03:08:33
I finally took the plunge last week and installed Ubuntu 10.04 on an old Vista box.

I dont mind trying out new things, new OSes, but you do expect them to stay stable.

Yesterday, I tried Rhythmbox, and my sound died after two accords.
This morning, Linux refuses to see the internet connection.

Both sound AND connection are available to Vista running on the same PC, so I KNOW it is Linux acting up.

Anyone here awake yet, to help me solve this?

I am willing to dig trenches and duke it out with the system, before removing it and going to the next distro. ( The next distro might give me other problems, so I might as well try to solve this first)

Please help this newb on Linux.
