any SteamPowered(r) game you buy with an actual ROM set has 1 the "magic key" to prove you did your purchase 2 a copy of the steam download files (as of date of pressing) so what happens when you do the install is 1 you run the installer which brings Steam online 2 you provide the key 3 the installer copies the files from the disc to your SteamCache(r) 4 Steam does the unlock to the files 5 any updates to the install are downloaded in fact i think you can just use the key and download the files from Steam.
