Okay UFies, I need your help/input here. by oedlan 2010-05-12 12:32:32
Background: Summer 2008, I got a job through a staffing company as a summer temp. After the summer, I had done such a good job that I got a permanent job as IT manager/whatever =). Also, while being offered that job, I also applied for a job at the company that at the time, provided IT services (IP telephony and business software consultants) to that employer. I got offered the job there too, so I had the luxurious problem of choosing between those two and you know witch one I choose.

Now, I've recently gotten a new job and I like it so far. Today, one of the owners of the IT company I applied to back in 2008 called me at home and said that he heard I had quit the old place and started working with the $Mega Corp.
"Too bad you didn't know that we were looking for a new guy. We liked you back in 2008 and would really like you to start working for us. We need a new guy here before the summer. OR after, it doens't matter. I won't stop calling you untill you've said yes. Think about this over the weekend will you..."

So. Here I am. The current job is not permanent (I got a "tryout" contract lasting to September, with good chance of continuation.)
So, should I see what they have to offer? Since they obviously want me, what can I "demand"?

-----

Sincerely yours, a somewhat confused Oedlan
