So I have a Cisco VPN client that I need to secure.

In version 5.0.02 you could just deny write/modify/delete to the generic username for the profiles folder therefore meaning that it never saved the previous username, the user couldn't mess up any settings, create new ones, or anything.

If you upgrade to 5.0.04.0300 or anything later when you do this same trick it locks the client on start.

My request: Is there any way that people know of to achieve the same result? I'm stumped and cisco doesn't really want to be helpful on this one.
