full disclosure: by most here I would be considered a bible thumping, gun wielding, right wing, capitalist pig.

Marriage is a vow(I read it as a legally and spiritually binding contract) entered in to between two folks for life.
Marriage has certain attributes:
fidelity
trust
communication
and love i.e. (love is a thing you do it is a set of action performed to build one and another into better people)

I would discuss with him why he feels the need to go elsewhere.
Ask him if he will go to counseling, if he is committed to your relationship this will be a no brainer and you two will be working things out.

if he is uncommitted and is done with it, why keep him around?
