You could extend it to "All fanatics are very much alike". Which begs the question: Would an offended Star Wars geek be able to kill as easily as someone who is offended over cartoons of the Prophet? Say -- by hinting that maybe Captain Kirk will become a mundane Governor General of his birth country? Scary thought, huh?
