"bullet" or "round" instead of "clip" or "mag" as even when the clip or mag has been removed from the firearm a round may still be in the chamber!

When I am acting as a Safety officer at the club matches there is a reason that the commands are done in this order.

1) If you are done, unload and show clear. (drop the mag or open the cylinder and remove the ammo and show that there is no ammo in the gun)

2) I see clear. Drop the slide (or "close the cylinder" on a revolver)

3) Hammer (pull the trigger to physically verify there are no bullets in the chamber)

4) Holster

5) Range is safe.

6) Score and tape.

Safety is all about multiple layers and fail-safes.
