"Roeder said that the judge’s imposition of a $20 million bond “along with a suggestion that I might enact ‘more’ violence if I make bond demonstrates heightened disregard for the presumption of my innocence"
Um...Scotty? You walked up and shot a guy in the head, then tried to drive back to KC. You *admitted* to doing so. What "presumption of innocence" do you think you need?
What irritates me the most about this guy is that he went to the sickening extremes that he claims he needed to in order to "save lives", but is now cowering behind a lawyer instead of facing the consequences for standing up for his beliefs. He wants it both way...to be a martyr for the violence that he uses to represent his "cause", but to not have to actually *pay* for that martyrdom.
I mean, Roeder tells us that he was compelled to ignore all other options and absolutely *had* to shoot a guy in the head at his church in front of his own family and friends...that he was serving some greater good, knowing the consequences that that he would face as a murderer. Now he doesn't *want* to be the murderer anymore? What an a3hat. Doesn't have the guts to face his crime? For the murderous "greater good" he espouses? He must not really believe what he's saying, then, huh? |
