A good site for diabetic information is the website of the Canadian Diabetes Association. The numbers used are different for b/s (Canada and the US use different methods -- Canada uses mmol/L), but there's a lot of good information there.
I think UGuardian mentioned he's hypoglycemic. Yes, there's a lot of different considerations, but as far as testing, I think it would be the same.
That being said... UGuardian... talk to your health care provider. Get info from them, or get referred to a clinic/provider who can help you in more detail.
Out here in BC, diabetics can attend a three session (9 hours total) clinic (free) that explains about diabetes, how to manage it, food, exercise, etc. Even that 9 hours is not long enough -- they have supplemental clinics for cholesterol, exercise, cardiac, etc.
Anything you get off this forum will be too little to get the proper, big picture of your condition. |
