I went to five hockey games, including the Canada - USA gold medal game and also the closing ceremony with friends. Had a blast. Went to Ontario House after the closing ceremonies and met Dalton McGuinty, the premier of Ontario. A lot goes on to stage an event like this. A friend of mine was in charge of fueling the more than 8000 official vehicles used by the olympics (including over 1000 buses), and that was only a small part of the entire organization job. My brother watched the game and closing on a TV in the far north and texted me about 40 times. Now he wants to go to Sochi. They will do well to do even approach the success of Vancouver, a city six times bigger. Hope they do.
