I work disconnect orders and we have a project with a particular customer that is driving me CRAZY. Bear in mind that per Sarbanes/Oxley, ANYTHING that sales tells us has to be confirmed with the customer contact. The following is ad-libbed a bit:
Sales to us: Please disconnect this circuit.
Us to customer: Do you want this disconnected?
Customer to us: Yes, please!
Us to customer: Are you sure?
Sales to us: WAIT! We need to disconnect it on a different date!
Sales to us: WAIT AGAIN! We need to cancel the disconnect!
Customer to us: Yes, we're sure, disconnect away!!
Us to customer: Sales says you want to push it out or cancel, and you say disconnect now. Which is right?
Customer to us: Please push it out and disconnect later.
Us to customer: And you're sure??
Sales to us AND customer: WAIT, this one needs cancelled, remember? Customer Lady, please confirm!!
Customer to us: Oh yea!! Please cancel the order!!!
Customer to us: Yes, we're sure, please disconnect on planned later date!
MAKE UP YOUR D4 MIND ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now I get to go back and say "I recieved these two emails within 5 minutes of each other. Which is correct??" |
