He killed one of my Betta females.
Oh its oh so subtle and timey Wimey Wibbly Wobbly, but im sure after reading this fishy tail you will beleive me.
You see, Elder was watching a repeat of End of Time pt 2 in the dining room and as he is beginning to feel the effects of a mispent youth listening to rock music, it was rather loud. When Wilf and ConkerBoy were firing their lasers, the sound frightened our now rather huge and monstorous Golden Plecostomus and sent her charging around the tank seeking escape.
This startled Alpha, the larger of the female Bettas, who was snoozing under a teeny tiny aquarium japanese pagoda. She attempted to escape from the rampaging Plecostomus by swimming through one of the tiny windows in the roof of the pagoda. These are only just large enough for a neon tetra to squeeze through. Alpha was of course much larger then that.
Elderess attempted to rescue her, managed to eventually persuade her to back out the way she came, somehow. A squirt of Stress Coat product which is supposed to help with torn fins, in the water near her, not directly on her, i add.
We thought she was fine. She hid, clearly hurt, but thats not surprising, but she darkened up again, and survied 24 hrs. Then was found dead resting upside down by the heater.
Perhaps its a good thing 10 regenerated after all.
