After reading the comments here, I went to a store that carries many brands of work boots. After spending a rainy afternoon trying boots from (these are what I remember) Wolverine, Caterpillar, Georgia, Timberland, and Redwing, I ended up buying a pair of Wolverine #2564 6" work boots with Gore-tex and composite toe. One thing I noticed, the Wolverines are larger shoes - what I mean is that for the same size, Wolverines are almost an inch longer than Red Wings.
But they feel good so far; and that's what counts (AND they have a 30 day return policy.) That, and I got them on the 31st, so they are deductible on the 2009 taxes... |
