I would like to hear about other peoples experience with it, just to see what to expect or see how they overcame some of the problems the colonoscopy might have induced. Hiding things away and not discussing them, seems to be very weird IMO. Giving people a lot of information, also gives people the ability to sort in what they can use now, use later or discard. If I wasn't interested in reading a piece about colonoscopy, I would simply disregard it.
