Military (Army and Navy Specifically) are placed under the Government's purview. The insterstate highway system is a military asset that the Government just lets us use. With very specific directives on what can and can't be done I suspect letting private corporations run National Parks would allow them to be run more efficiently. As for the VA it is not fulfilling its purpose and needs to be completely revamped. What it would take to make it a clean safe and efficient operation is unknown at this time. As for other countries (and so many forget that those who founded this one didn't want to be like others, they wanted to be better) versions of nationalized medicine: Looks kinda like what they have found at multiple VA Hospitals.
