Logic operator associativity question by thetree2009-12-02 09:26:24

Ooo, good question. by Lethosos 2009-12-02 09:42:18
Lemme see... I dunno if computer logic behaves like predicate logic, but the AND statement gets processed first; there's always a built-in order of logic sequence that runs from left-to-right on equal-weight operators--I haven't seen otherwise. The operators AND, OR, XOR, and NOT are equal-weight, so it'll be left associative.

Of course, we programmers tend to firmly tell the code what we want to process first with multiple iterations of parenthenses. :)
