  A humidifier my parents borrowed by FNORDer 2009-12-02 00:08:30
when my sister and I were sick once. It fascinated and terrified me. They were POURING WATER into an electrical appliance and telling us not to touch it. I thought it was full of spiders going to explode and trying to eat me all at once.

I was so glad when they boxed it up.
