Apparently a pack of chavs decided tonight would be an excellent time to wander through campus and hurl eggs through any open windows they could find.
...fortunately, they only got the kitchen. Security says some other student flats were hit a lot worse.
...unfortunately, as I was writing a sign to warn my flat-mates (most of whom were asleep and therefore unaware that we've been egged) to close the windows, I forgot to consider that sharpie marker bleeds through paper, and wound up leaving a message on my desk that clearly read "Please do not leave open. Chavs throw eggs."
...fortunately, rubbing alcohol followed up by dish soap and a scrubbie can remove sharpie marker from just about anything, including wooden desks.
...unfortunately, I forgot to take into account that my desk (unlike my skin, which is what I usually remove sharpie marker from) has finish, so I accidentally removed that too.
...so now I have to hope the university accommodations people don't notice that and charge me for the damage at the end of the year...
Are paintball guns allowed in the UK? (If those little f**kers come back, I will be ready... or, given my recent string of accidents, I might end up painting the kitchen, so I should pick a nice color just to be safe...) |
