The world really IS centered on the beholder.

But we should always keep in mind that this doesn't mean that the center is the most important thing in the Universe. As long as we keep this in mind, we should be reasonably safe from egocentricity. Eccentricity, on the other hand, is almost expected from this bunch :-)
