as well as a few others I've read and heard, are all questioning the wisdom of the White Haouse in this regard, I think it would behoove President Obama to rein this battle in, a little bit.
Maybe he should invite Glenn Beck and Sean Hannity to join him for a beer on the White House lawn. (Said with an utterly straight face. The clenched muscles in my cheeks are not at all due to attempting to hold back a grin; I'm, err... I have a toothache! Yeah, that's the ticket!)
O-kay, more seriously. Niven's Law has already been cited; what more need be said? This is an astoundingly bad White House policy, and needs to be rescinded before it causes more damage. Regardless of whether one likes Obama or not (and, personally, he's not one of my favorites), somebody very apparently made a serious tactical error, here, and it needs to be handled quickly and professionally, or else it's going to haunt this administration for a long, long time. |
