Obama and Fox news kerfluffle. Opinions? by Classic_Jon2009-10-26 12:03:50
I suspect it may have been a reaction to by Peace_Man 2009-10-26 14:54:15
the 'tea parties'. A case where Fox felt obliged to make the news instead of just reporting on it.

As such, it really should have been limited to just that: a measure of how inappropriate it is for a 'news' organization to try to generate newsworthy events. The lack of accuracy, and the slanted nature of Fox's news is a separate issue that should have been left alone. If any action were to be taken by the Administration about Fox's news, it could have been done in libel court, or possibly by proposing standards to be adopted (and possibly enforced) by the news media.
