The second quote led me down a tangential line of thought. What determines compatibility in a long term relationship? My guess would be memetic compatibility, but if opposites attract, how many memes should a couple share? And which ones have higher priority?

Matchmaking sites should be required to publish their algorithms for peer review. Companies can get patents on algorithms these days, so it'd help separate the science from the hokum.

...this turned into a stream-of-consciousness post rather quickly. Hm.
