of DaVinci Code. They had pictures of the artwork and gizmos in question, and I rather enjoyed it for that aspect. But it was definitely a "I should read that to see what all the fuss is about" reading.
I know far too much medicine, physics, history, etc. to be able to read pretty much *anything* if I couldn't get past authors getting stuff wrong. Generally, I take it as a what-if, or alternate history/universe, or otherwise accept/ignore the presence of stuff that gets in the way of the story, if it's a good enough story to be worth it. |
