And I'd give both of them much the same review: Fairly light and fluffy with a deliberately controversial setting/subject in an attempt to raise interest. He makes use of a few too many cheap literary tricks to raise suspense. A few massive plot holes/oversights (e.g. in Angels and Demons the marks of the illuminate are in English for some reason). He shows absolutely no understanding of the few technical things thrown into the story. I enjoyed reading them but wasn't concerned when I lent them to someone and never got them back. An acceptable maybe slightly above average airport paperback thriller for passing the time but nothing more.
