are revolvers and not just a "sawed off AR-15." Also, the purpose of a "pistol AR" is to get around ATF laws and not to be a real pistol.
for it's purpose, a 500 is much more effective at large game than an AR would be, not to mention more "humane" if you do not make a perfect hit. It is also much better against large animals that may attack humans, like a bear etc.
Again, it is by ATF laws *legally* a "pistol" but if you tried to convince anyone that is a gun person that the police should be carrying it as a sidearm...I think they just might laugh...and then quote Judge Dredd and say "I am the Law!" |
