I know a nurse (not a practical nurse mind you - but one with a B.Sc.) who believes in therapeutic touch, where "body energies" are realigned when the practitioner waves her hands over the patient. Not all nurses (or doctors even) understand the basic ideas of science. The worst thing that can happen is that the vaccine will not be as effective as hoped. The chances of adverse reactions are about one million to one. The chances of dying or being seriously harmed from H1N1 are much greater. My mother got her shot this morning and I'm getting mine as soon as my population group is allowed.
